An interesting funny story has made its way around social media, when people claim a dog trying to save himself almost drowned his owner.
During a trip in Lake Saguaro, Arizona, Holly Monson and her family including their dog Sam were having a great time, with swimming and taking a lot of pictures and videos their vacation could not have been better.
In middle of all these pictures the 18 year old Holly caught something funny in her camera, it was her 2 year old golden retriever dog in an interesting act, let’s hear what she has to say.
“He’d only gone swimming a few times and it was a larger body of water, so we brought along his doggie life jacket just to be safe,” Holly told BuzzFeed. “My dad threw Sam’s tennis ball into the water, which he went after…that is, until he spotted my sister, Ariana, and decided to swim over to her instead.”
And then Sam acted in a crazy way, and its not clear if he was trying to play or he got terrified from the water, whichever it was in the pictures it looks like he was trying to drown the girl.
“Well, it was a nice lake day until my dog nearly drowned my sister,” Holly explained in a Tweet
Ariana was struggling but her dad was near her and made sure she was okay.
“I don’t know if he was trying to save her or save himself, but he put Ariana under for a good five seconds before my dad came to the rescue!” Holly said.
The funny weird happening was shared on Twitter by Holly, and soon went viral, currently having 152,000 retweets, 2,400 comments and half a million likes, yep half a million.
“We got Sam back onto their boat, returned him his ball, and all was good,” Holly told Bored Panda. “My sister Ariana is also perfectly fine; just a few scratches.”
Holly is sure Sam was just anxious because he was in the water for the first time in his life.
“We played fetch with him again in the shallows so he could get used to it and after that, he was completely comfortable,” she said.
People are having a blast with these pictures, cracking all kind of jokes, comparing Sam with how our daily stress is drowning us.
“This summarizes my life perfectly,” said one person on Twitter.
But there are also people who backed Sam’s innocence.
“Hey guys, Sam would like to say thank you for all the attention and confidence in his innocence,” wrote Holly on Twitter, sharing a cute picture of sweet Sam.
For being this cute we will agree that he was just anxious and that’s it.
