Dog offers his favorite toy whenever he hears his baby weeping

For many new couples that have a dog but are also waiting for a new baby there is one similar question they have: will our little human get along well with his dog sibling? Unfortunately this is also the case for many dogs being abandoned, but it’s only normal to want both your furry baby and your human baby to get along with each other well and be safe.

But most cases pets get along great with little babies, and in fact they become best friends, even the toughest and biggest dog can turn to be incredibly loving and sensitive towards babies.

Like the dog of our story that offered a really cute gift to his new human baby.

Bonnie Michalek, from California, and her husband love their bullmastiff Brutus like family, Bonnie said they even call the dog their “first baby.”

But when the couple was expecting their first actual baby, the dog knew that before everyone: Bonnie remembers that the dog suddenly became way more protective of her in the early days of her pregnancy.

“Brutus knew I was pregnant before I did — he definitely sensed it before I knew,” she told The Dodo.

So that confirmed their suspicion, their beloved dog would be more than okay with the new addition to the family: “He’s always loved kids,” Bonnie said. “Every time he’s heard kids outside laughing he gets excited.”

When baby Kayden was brought home to meet the dog for the first time the sweet furry lovingly went up and licked the newborn’s face.

The sweet duo have been best friends since their meeting, Brutus is able to do everything for the baby… including sharing his beloved possession.

Like many other canine, Brutus also has a favorite toy that he clings to: a yellow plush ball. “It’s the only toy that he won’t tear apart in five minutes,” Bonnie told The Dodo.

But he is ready to part with it if it will make his favorite little human happy.

“Every time Kayden cries, Brutus finds his fluff ball and tries to bring it to [him],” Bonnie wrote on Instagram. “So cute.”
